About Les Bulles d’Aÿ
Who’s behind Les Bulles d’Aÿ?
Learn more about Les Bulles d’Aÿ and Aurélien, the proud owner of holiday accommodations in Aÿ-Champagne

I’m Aurélien, a proud native of Champagne, and more specifically, a Sparnacien (the term we use to refer to the inhabitants of Épernay). For 10 years, I’ve worked as a riding instructor and equestrian, training and riding in various stables across France. I’ve always loved connecting with people.
On the eve of my 30th birthday (maybe it was a mid-life crisis!), I felt a strong urge for a change of scenery. Without much planning, I bought a plane ticket, and Australia welcomed me for a year-long adventure. What an experience it was to be on the other side of the world, all alone! With a 4×4 converted into my home, I set off on a road trip to explore this vast and beautiful country.
My journey was a mix of 30% hard work to fund it, 65% breathtaking landscapes and incredible encounters, and 5% small challenges that, in the end, made the trip unforgettable. Let’s be honest, a journey like this is about discovering a new country and its culture, but it’s also an inner journey that teaches you so much about yourself.
After returning from my incredible Australian adventure, I set off to explore France, taking on the role of logistics manager for itinerant equestrian tours. Each week, in different regions of the country, I had the pleasure of welcoming 10 new riders from around the world, eager to discover the beauty of France. It was such a rewarding experience to connect with people from diverse cultures week after week!
While I’ve always loved traveling and immersing myself in new cultures, I’ve always felt a deep affection for my native Champagne. Every time I return, I’m reminded of how beautiful it truly is. Les Bulles d’Aÿ was born from a desire to settle down here and share the charm of my wonderful region with others. I hope to share this passion with you throughout this journey.
